It's hard to have a control freak for a mom. Just ask my son, CJ.
You can read the long, drawn-out story of "why" we're going on this trip on the PassPorter boards (link below). Just know that this trip is a 13th birthday celebration for my son and I've made the ultimate sacrifice -- he's getting to plan the whole thing.
Every meal, every park, every ride.
And... it's killing me.
But, since coming to grips with his diagnosis of Type 1 diabetes in late 2008, I've finally learned that I need to "unclench" ... and just do my best to manage things (diabetes, Disney, life...) and give up trying to control them.
Kind of like going on IaSW first???

ReplyDeleteNot to always be the one to go THERE, but why, oh why, does it take 70 minutes to get on your first attraction when you make it to the park at rope drop? Were you sitting in Writer's Stop slooowlyyy eating breakfast just knowing it would torture me? Is there no end to the cruelty?
