It's hard to have a control freak for a mom. Just ask my son, CJ.
You can read the long, drawn-out story of "why" we're going on this trip on the PassPorter boards (link below). Just know that this trip is a 13th birthday celebration for my son and I've made the ultimate sacrifice -- he's getting to plan the whole thing.
Every meal, every park, every ride.
And... it's killing me.
But, since coming to grips with his diagnosis of Type 1 diabetes in late 2008, I've finally learned that I need to "unclench" ... and just do my best to manage things (diabetes, Disney, life...) and give up trying to control them.
poor babies!
ReplyDelete[ASCII ART] sad plane w/countdown of 6 hours inside it [/ASCII ART]
Ugh! That's awful! Don't they know you've got plans?
ReplyDelete6 hours! What could possibly be wrong that it takes 6 hours?
ReplyDeleteHow far away is that Amtrak station?
ReplyDeleteHow awful! Does the airline not have another plane they could use? Do they not know that Mickey is waiting for you.
ReplyDeleteI had a similar issue this summer . . . the 2 things that got me through: Sudoku and the mini spa at the airport! Go hit that spa!!!
ReplyDeleteYou must be telepathetic! You figured out your plane was delayed before you got to the airport.
